The Deaconess Ministry, a board primarily made up of deacons’ wives, widows and other appointed women, is a support group for Pastor Lee, deacons and the church at large. Some of the responsibilities of the deaconesses are: assisting in stimulating and nurturing the spiritual growth of the congregation, teaching and developing the younger women of the church, communing and ministering to the sick and shut-in monthly, assisting the pastor with baptism candidates, maintaining baptism and communion supplies and leading cooperate praise and worship with the deacons. |

In addition, the Deaconess Ministry is a co-sponsor of the Family Plan, a pilot program at Shiloh designed to structure a systematic method of assigning a deacon/deaconess team to a cluster of families to keep in touch with. As a result of the Family Plan, the deaconesses hope to help families bring unsaved family members to Christ, provide families with a support group in dealing with crises and offer a caring atmosphere that will strengthen the entire congregation. |
